This book is focusing on Chinese Millennials, aiming to introduce their complex and layered identity in regards to their spirituality, living conditions, but also their presence on social media. The collected information was driven to explore and define their stories in a poetic and real manner. The book includes a group of interviewees’ basic information and their perception of their identity (dreams, personalities, descriptions of themselves), their background (rooms, favorite objects), and the pain and doubt they encountered (texts)All in interviewees were born in China between 1984 and 2000. The book used photos to portrait their appearance and recorded some descriptions in Chinese. The information for all was vertically stratified according to age, while other details were horizontally classified, building my database. It showcases the commonalities are confusion, sadness, and hesitation. Stories of these people and highlight the dimension of time, making the audience feel the existence of individuals and the commonality of the collective. The distortion of the image’s realities builds an ambiguous ambiance to expresses the elusive and doubt of the young Chinese generation.
